Powder Room LCK INTERIORS, Powder Room, 2006 Baltimore Symphony Decorator's Show House "Villa
Vista"
The powder room is quite usually the smallest
room in the house; often tucked away, nestled between closets, or hidden
under stairways. By the nature of the space, limited stay and occasional
use, this room can stand on its own, filled with drama, and absolute
decadence.
Keeping
with the grand effect of the room itself, with existing mirrored panels on
nearly every wall; a room reminiscent of Versailles. Designed to feel like
a rest room in a grand hotel: palatial, opulent, and luxurious. The
grandeur is echoed throughout the space as the light dances across the gold
leaf detail on the ceiling, with hundreds of crystals on the chandelier, and
gilded mirrors layered atop the mirrored panels. The room is softened with
silk drapery at the window, a velvet upholstered settee, and rug befitting
the space. Such a lavish place to powder one’s nose. A sensation for guests
when entertaining; while making everyday life just a little bit nicer.
